The entertainment business is ultimately a business, and everyone’s goal is to always have a sold out show. Typically, talent “buyers” and  talent “suppliers” are brought together  via the efforts of  a venue and an agent/manager. Kim Yaffa Entertainment Consulting  was launched to provide services to venues, performing arts centers, management,  artists and producers.

For Venues:

Venues can  become part of a beneficial “network” of  participating venues which buy talent which is routing through a geographic area.  It becomes less of an effort to buy talent and define and manage the contractual details which keep the presentation schedule fresh and interesting to ticket buyers.  Venue management and  marketing can get back to the business of selling the show.

For Artists,Talent and Agent/Managers:

The tour planning has started and it’s time consuming to find the venues and promoters  who are looking for the next big thing to put on their stage.  Industry connections and knowledge of the geography are what gets booking and  tour routing accomplished from venue to venue.

By bringing together the “buyers” and “suppliers”, my company can provide beneficial services to venues, talent and management.  As a consultant, I can provide services  for both Talent and Venues:

  • Book and schedule talent, considering such factors as entertainment policy, budget, and tastes of patrons of particular establishment represented.
  • Negotiate with talent representatives or producers of attractions to arrange terms of contract, play dates, and fees to be paid for engagements.
  • Arrange for billing in accordance with contract agreement.
  • Can specialize in in-house bookings and can book according to establishment as Talent Buyer.
  • Can specialize in independent bookings according to type of talent or of entertainment package represented and represent the Artist as the designated Talent Booking Agent.
